In law enforcement, is it true that some male officers don't entirely trust female partners in the field?

I'd imagine so. There are women who can do the job very well physically and emotionally.

However, some men who are partnered with females when they go in the field or hostile territory get very nervous about them. They wouldn't entirely trust the women who serve with them on the street, and the guys may be more focused on protecting her than getting the mission completed, or case closed successfully in the case of detectives. Is this true that women who join the force and are serious with their job need to prove themselves that they can fight and do the job well in order to gain the trust of the men, and be able to work cohesively? I hear there are women who join the force only to find a man to get married to.In law enforcement, is it true that some male officers don't entirely trust female partners in the field?
Protective would be a better word.

P.S. I know a woman who is a martial artist, former Marine, and police officer who is very capable. She is trusted by all the men in her department. That said, they are naturally going to be protective of her (they're protective of all of their own too though) even though they know they can trust her.In law enforcement, is it true that some male officers don't entirely trust female partners in the field?
Female police officers cause unnecessary deaths. The lack the physical strength to confront male alledged vilolators. What happens too oftens is they resort to deadly force wheras a male officer could have easily handled the situation.

Female police officers provide a valuable contribution bhy doing dective work. Beyond that child crimes and after that not much help.
im sure there are a few women in the Field like that but im sure there are a few men also like that......so i could see why one partner would have to feel like they would need too protect his/her partner and lose track of the real objective at hand......I hear men just join the force to get a gun in their hands.....see how that sounds sexist?
Like most officers, my trust comes from personal observations of how you act, not on your gender. I've worked with several females and not had a problem with any.
Let's face it I'm sure that many male officers don't trust other male officers cause they are not as strong. It is no different with female officers.
Yes it is.
