Is it true that Communication is about making your partner agree with you?

Communication is about two people compromising and listening to each other properly.sharing decisions and coming to a conclusion.Then acting upon the right choices, which reflect on both of our angles and points of view.With the power of love in our loving relationship,nothing can go wrong.I will always love thee.Is it true that Communication is about making your partner agree with you?
Communication is about understanding each other. Looking at situations from other points of view not just yours. When you share things with your spouse it helps them understand why you do what you do. What your thinking behind things are.Is it true that Communication is about making your partner agree with you?
No. It's about letting your partner know what's going on. Making your partner agree with you is called ';control.';
based on your last few questions and now reading this one I believe you need to go back to class or school... go educate yourself a bit on common sense.
Maybe making my partner UNDERSTAND me.....once he understands, he usually agrees, though.
No. It is about understanding what each of you want and need and coming to a decision on it.
What does phil say about the subject?

In my mind no it doesn't.
